Hi there Hello,
National Plan for Vacation Week is Next Tuesday.

National Plan for Vacation Day is recognized in the travel industry as a day to plan your time off in the coming year. Millions of Paid Time Off (PTO) days go unused each year by Americans, according to research from the US Travel Association.

Don’t let your vacation go to waste!

Take advantage of your time off. Taking time for yourself to recover from the stresses of everyday life is so important. That is why over 7,000 employers participate in National Plan for Vacation Day and ENCOURAGE their employees to get their PTO on the calendar.

Planning your travel a year in advance? How is this possible?

You may think you are too busy or not organized enough to plan for 2-3 vacations or getaways in advanced. You tell yourself, "Our schedules are too hectic. Last-minute things come up all the time."

Maybe you can barely keep up with your kids weekly activities, much less anticipate how all of the stars will align to be able to plan out a whole year's worth of vacations and weekend getaways.

I hear you, but you can do it.  While I can’t promise you that things won't change, I CAN promise you it is possible! At the very least, looking ahead will definitely help you to get organized for the year AND be better able to adapt to unexpected things that may come up.

It is more important than ever as the demand for travel surges in 2022. There is not enough supply to meet the demand. I don't know any other way to say it.

People email me on the weekly asking me to watch for deals. "Deals" are far and few between my friend. The best deal is to book in advance with a gracious cancelation policy.

I am having a hard time finding availability for certain resorts both this spring especially April and into the fall months of October and November.

There are MAJOR benefits to yearly calendar planning.

Your family will be more purposeful and intentional in the year.

You will no longer look back at the year behind you with a list of things that got lost in the shuffle. You will bypass the guilt of letting one more of those 18 years pass you by. Planning ahead will also keep you from forgetting those critical events that can sneak up on you if you are not organized.

So join me!

Grab your calendar. Block off an evening, pull up all of your activity schedules, school calendars, work deadlines, and holidays. Get them on the calendar and enjoy the fruits of your planning AHEAD all year long!

I try to plan three - four trips a year! Coming up for 2022 is Walt Disney World, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and maybe Hawaii.

Aulani anyone?

Aloha,
